A RETROSPECTIVE STUDY IN VISAKHAPATNAM ON DELAYED CRY AT BIRTH: AN IMPORTANT PREDICTOR OF FUTURE NEURO DEVELOPMENTAL PROBLEM-ASSOCIATED FACTORS

Objectives: Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of non-progressive neurological disorders caused by an injury to the area brain that controls muscle movement and posture. Physical cognitive signs symptoms indicate CP vary widely, depending on which parts are affected, severity disease, age baby or child when first appear one such symptom delay in crying at birth. Methods: Data collected from mothers 177 children with history delayed cry birth, admitted attended Rani Chandramani Devi Government Hospital, Visakhapatnam period 2014–2020. Results: The data retrospectively birth were analyzed. Among them, 114 male 63 female. Considering mother time conception it was found that, more number cases reported maternal between 19 30 years 106 (60%). conception, extremes both below 18 above years, poses risk fetus. In present study, be 40%. Mothers anemia high 32.2% act as most prevalent antenatal factor cases. By performing student “t” test associated factors without factors, results highly significant p<0.001. Conclusion: Delayed should taken early hint might develop neurodevelopmental problems future.
